We're still the same team, and still on the same mission: Matching talented software and data engineers wherever they are to the great career opportunities they deserve.
This decision comes to reinforce this mission and put the focus on what really matters: The people at the heart of it all.
In the past couple of years, we've noticed that when people hear United Remote, they often focus on the "Remote" part. And as much as we're excited about the remote movement, it is only a collaboration style and doesn't accurately portray our mission and vision for the years to come.
The essence of what we do isn't in the way engineers collaborate with the startups they join. It's rather finding hidden gems and matching them with opportunities where they'll shine the brightest.
We strongly believe that in the age of high-speed internet, and intuitive video communication, geography shouldn't beat merit.
And in the upcoming years, we'd like to prove times and times again, that when it comes to hiring, the best engineer for the job beats the closest engineer to the job. And we've built (and will continue to build) the infrastructure to empower startups & engineer to make that work 💪.
